Dawkins Says “Bible Not Reliable Because It’s Written By Men” In Latest Book

Earlier this week, Richard Dawkins, the world’s most famous atheistic philosopher announced the release of his latest book, Why I Hate AUTHORity Figures. In it he discusses why ancient writings that speak only of physical events can be trusted, but anything that mentions God or Him working with men, even from a secular perspective, is completely fictitious.

Dawkins lecture on the worthlessness of humanity

In the first few chapters he explains the process he uses to discern if a piece is accurate. “If the writing contains reference to God or any other spiritual entity, I know it’s corrupted because it’s written by fallible men. On the other hand, if it contains no such references, it was written by a historian and I know it to be true. We know nothing beyond the physical exists, therefore anything that promotes the idea of a spiritual realm is false. Now, some might ask, ‘How do you know there is no God?’ but, that is an easy question to answer. I simply show them that no reliable writings contain any reference to him.”
